What's Your Opinion?

After a lengthy discussion with a friend this evening, as well as engaging in conversations with others during this year's band launch season, various diverse opinions pertaining to topics related to Toronto Carnival became apparent.

Being that often one's individual opinion may not be heard or be taken into account, I figured it might be a good idea to allow the blog to be a platform for readers to express their views on the various topics. Topics ranging from the direction of parade route, order of the bands, or perhaps suggestions and feedback can provide invaluable insight on the public perspective.

One of the key reasons The Collabo blogspot was created, was to share information and resources, in addition to encourage collaboration and discussion of topics and viewpoints (as highlighted within some of the Carnival Newbie posts and questions posed on the Facebook page).

As with any post on the blog, comments with a user name are encouraged, however it is noted some readers may prefer to post anonymously. The only request is feedback and comments are constructive.  So with that, here's the start of the "What's Your Opinion" post.

For the first opinion post, here are two questions:
  1. With many bands offering options of bikini, beads and feather mas, what can be done to ensure variety is offered and maintained?  How should this be encouraged or what types of incentives are needed?
  2. What are your thoughts on the influence or contributions of designers based external to Toronto?
